The Kiribati Investment Promotion Division welcomes prospective foreign investors interested in establishing or expanding their businesses in Kiribati.
This online system allows investors to register their accounts, submit foreign investment applications, and upload the required supporting documents for assessment in accordance with the applicable Foreign Investment Act and procedures of Kiribati.
Before You Begin
Before creating an account or starting your application, please ensure that you have prepared the following documents for upload:
- Passport photograph
- Passport identification page for each investor.
- Business Plan.
- Bank statement or bank reference for each investor.
- Original Police Clearance Certificate for each investor intending to reside in Kiribati.
- Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, if applicable.
- Payment of the applicable application fee, ranging from AUD 500 to AUD 1,500.
- Proof of payment, such as an official receipt or bank confirmation.
How to Apply
- Create an Account – Register your account using your valid contact details.
- Complete the Application – Provide the required investor and business information.
- Upload Supporting Documents – Attach all applicable documents in the required format.
- Pay the Application Fee – Pay the applicable fee and upload proof of payment.
- Submit Your Application – Review your information and submit your application for assessment.
- Track Your Application – Log in to check your application status and respond to any requests for additional information.
Application Fees
The foreign investment application fee ranges from AUD 500 to AUD 1,500, depending on the applicable fee category. Please confirm the correct fee with the Investment Promotion Division before making payment.
